We have an XTW-rated cord. XTW rating, from Underwriters Laboratory, Inc., is a parallel cord for decorative lighting strings where the “W” stands for moisture and sunlight resistant. It has a UV inhibitor mixed into
its jacket to slow down the aging process that the outdoor elements create. They come in spools of 1,000 and 500 feet, with 12 inch and 6 inch spacing, in either green or white wire and sockets. These spools need to be cut into runs of about 300 feet maximum with incandescent lamps!
